CHILLIWACK CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS

This year Canada celebrates its 152nd birthday and Chilliwack will be hosting a large variety of community events for individuals of all ages to attend! Do you have plans to celebrate Canada Day? Here is a list of the local festivities being held in Chilliwack on July 1st:

  • Chilliwack Fire Department – Annual Canada Day Pancake Breakfast Starting at 8:00AM – 45950 Cheam Avenue – Breakfast by Donation All Proceeds Go to the Chilliwack Firefighters Charitable Society
  • Sardis Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at Evergreen Hall Starting at 8:00AM – 9291 Corbould St – Breakfast is a $5 Donation – All Proceeds Go to Special Olympics BC
  • Chilliwack Canada Day 2019 Celebration at Townsend Park All Day 8:00AM-10:30PM – 45130 Wolfe Rd – Fireworks at 10:00PM. Live Entertainment, Antique Showcase, Military Displays, Rotary Train

CSPC ANNUAL BBQ POTLUCK

You are invited to the CSPC Annual BBQ Potluck! Join us for another year of good company and  great laughs on August 9th ! This event welcomes both counsellors and their clients for an afternoon together! Hamburgers, hot dogs, and water will be provided by CSPC, and we kindly ask that guests bring a small dish to share! This is an accessible event with lots of parking!

Please call the office to RSVP by July 25th so we can plan on what supplies we’ll need!

Are you or someone you know interested in making a meaningful connection with a senior peer? CSPC is looking for volunteers who would like to take a counselling course in September 2019. Please contact the office for more details.

  • Next Round Table – September 24, 2019  What is a round table? Counsellors are invited to join their peers for a meeting once a month for supportive discussions and light refreshments
  • Connect Café* from 10:00am – 12:00pm: JUL 4 at IHOP, JULY 11 at Homer’s Restaurant, JULY 18 at IHOP, JULY 25 at Homer’s Restaurant  *What is Connect Café? Connect Café is an event coordinated by the CNHP society four thursdays a month. Join fellow seniors to enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea…and some great conversation!
